Saiful Hossain is a banker, business consultant, author, and speaker by profession. Personal finance is one of his favorite areas of research. According to him, Bengalis are generally more inclined toward spending than saving. If they had saved a significant portion of their income, there would have been less need for foreign loans or investments. Our economy could have invested much more from its own savings. In the Western world, extreme consumerism has led to a drastic decline in their savings habits—they live on borrowed money. This trend transforms a nation into a debt-driven, consumption-based economy. Unfortunately, this pattern is also emerging in our country. Loans, especially for consumption, are becoming more easily accessible. As a result, a culture of low savings and high borrowing is taking root in society. This shift may cause our youth to fall behind in the race to become entrepreneurs. They are increasingly focused on seeking jobs instead. The author’s goal is to inspire young people to become entrepreneurs rather than job seekers. He believes they have the potential to keep pace with the technology-driven world and lead the country forward by creating employment opportunities within the nation. This book has been written to encourage the youth on their journey toward entrepreneurship. The author completed his Honours and MSS in Economics from the University of Dhaka with first-class results and studied at the University of Nottingham in the UK. He has been writing on economics and banking in both English and Bengali newspapers for over two decades. His collection of essays has been published in a book titled Bangladesh's Economy and Banking. His writing style is fluent, engaging, and easy to read, drawing readers in deeply. So far, he has published three books. In addition to essays and articles, he also writes stories, novels, plays, songs, and poems with equal ease. He was born in the Kalaroa Upazila of Satkhira District.
